Natural sunburn relief

Well it is an interesting morning here in the Blaney household, My husband thought it to be a good idea to fall asleep on our pool yesterday well let me tell you that was a bad idea! He was only out for about an hour swimming and sleeping apparently... He said he was going out for a swim and to relax (nothing seem to be going very well for him yesterday) and I was editing photos from a shoot I did a little bit ago. I looked down at the time and an hour had gone past and we were suppose to be going to his Aunt and Uncles for a BBQ (which was EXCELLENT but I will do a whole other post about that)

Fall Part 1 of MANY!

Fall!!! Yes i can't wait. I wish i lived up North though; Fall is so much better!

And this is why I love fall! Except this list needs to include football!!!

This is it!!!! Exactly the look! Maybe slightly different color flowers but the pumpkins, straw, and bushel baskets for decorations is perfect.

This is how my front door is going to look as soon as I get back from a MUCH needed Vacation.
Let me tell you a little bit about that I have been up to. Obviously I havent been on here giving you updates or.... anything I have been promising BUT I have a very good reason for that! As you know I have a baby (9 months old now) so this makes things even more difficult than normal LOL BUT in the last month I have had a booth at Carrot Fest in Bradford to help raise money for my sister in law that is going to be going to Zambia October 31st ( my favorite day of the year ;)) to help add onto an existing school. I will give a little more information a little later about this and where you can donate if you are interested. Every little bit helps!

By the way we did great at Carrot Fest our earnings AFTER the day was over and we took out all of our money we put in we ended up making $450 for her my sister in law and her mom!

Before Carrot Fest (which was just a one day event) I was apart of a booth in Sutton for the whole weekend... Well technically I helped with two booths and ended up with a business proposition buy the end of Saturday. So heres the story... I was helping a fellow vendor out because he accidently over booked himself with another show so I looked after his booth for the day. While I was there I sold all kinds of things for him including one of my favorite items ever... African Black Soap and Shea Butter all straight from AFRICA! By the time he came back I had almost sold out of all of his stock! Once he saw how interested I was about selling his product he asked me if I would be interested in doing this on a regular basis and of course I said YES!

For those of you who are sitting there going what the flip is African Black Soap and Shea butter here is a little info for you! And of course if you are interested in purchasing some of this from me feel free to contact me a britneyd.layne@gmail.com and I would gladly hook you up with some of this fantastic product!

African Black Soap; butters-n-bars.com

Brief history of African Black Soap: Traditional African Black Soap is an all-natural soap made in Ghana, West Africa, and Nigeria.  It is can be referred to as Anago Soap, Alata Soap, or Ose Dudu in some regions.  The soap consists of roasted cocoa (chocolate) pods, plantain skin, and palm oil from coconut husks.  (The plantain is a rich source of vitamins A & E and iron.)  Black Soap benefits the very young and the elderly, or anyone with tender skin.  Black Soap is known for its quality antiseptic properties and for its gentleness.
Benefits of African Black Soap: Authentic African Black Soap is centuries old and has numerous benefits.  African Black Soap is used in its raw form for the face, body, and hair.  For centuries, Africans have used Black Soap to help relieve blemishes, oily skin, and skin irritations and conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.  Many use this natural soap for bathing, washing their hair, and to removing make-up.  Black Soap is so highly thought of, it is has been used in African spiritual purification's.   Different regions make their own variations of Black Soap and the recipes are highly guarded.  Its methods and secrets are passed down from generation to generation to keep the soap close to Mother Nature and to avoid exploitation & imitations.  The authentic African Black Soap is not the mass produced imitation African Black Soap in packaged boxes often found in markets.

ALAFFIA’s Authentic African Black Soap

African Black soap is even good for dogs! It keeps there coat shiny and healthy and if there are any problems with fleas they wont have them anymore fleas actually HATE the soap so if they have them and you bath them in the soap they will actually jump off!

So needless to say I have been extremely busy... AND I LOVE IT! Although I really do miss writing on the Suburbian Housewife.

So lets get back to fall and its wonderful explosion on my page!

A really clever idea for a Halloween party or even a fall birthday party!

I found this beauty on the net and thought it might be an excellent idea for a fall dinner party... I think I'm going to have to try this!

Don't just leave your pumpkins orange this fall! Do a dream update with your family initial

Why dont you paint a pumpkin white and put your family initial on the pumpkin as a welcoming decoration for your home!

If my house could be at the end of this path, I would be the happiest girl in the world!

Big things coming!

I have been absent for almost 2 weeks now! My apologies. I worked a wedding a couple of Saturdays ago, I say worked because I was the Photographer, Hairstylist, and Make up artist.... I was alot of work but was so much fun and I couldn't have asked for a better Bride and Groom to work with. They went from being a client to friends in no time I wish the best for them in there new marriage. With that being said I am not yet aloud to post any photos from the wedding yet I am waiting on the Brides Okay to post publicly until she sees all of them. As soon as she allows me to I will post on here to show everyone! It was so beautiful and was so inspiring I am going to make a fake wedding with a vintage theme! Here we go!

Wedding check list. Totally will come in handy!

There is the checklist I will be following lets start with the Brides attire. Now what you need to know is I didn't have a normal wedding I got married in Niagara Falls and then we had a small get ceremony and reception at our house in the backyard and it was very Halloween/Tim Burton style so for this one I am going to try a more vintage approach and at the end I will show you what I did for my actual wedding.

Looky what I found!

beautiful vintage wedding dresses

OK ARE YOU READY FOR THE DRESS???

Here it is!

Isn't that beautiful? I love how there are modern touches as well as some vintage with the lace.

as for Bridal Lingerie lets keep that for a secret shall we? ;)

Hosiery

Here is the winner I love these ones!

here is an interesting little fact

Something simple like this one for the veil.. I had a birdcage veil for my wedding and I regret it I feel like I wasn't a real Bride because I didn't have that actual veil with the blusher.

This for the necklace

I LOVE the backdrop necklaces they are so beautiful with a pair of drop pearl earings like these

and a pretty bracelet like this one

I probably wouldn't do the gloves but a Tiara I CAN do!

I am in love!

Tomorrow we will work on the bridesmaids and flower girl and maybe a little extra...... a Bridal shower perhaps?

I will leave you with the song that the Bride and groom danced to for their first dance one of my favorite love songs now.

New Chapters.....

So in the past few days we have been extremely busy with some awesome life changing experiences and new chapters in our lives. So lets start!

On Thursday I wrote about going to Church to watch a movie called The Grace Card and it was such a good movie and can really open your eyes so all sorts of un necessary conflicts in your life. I personally gave someone a grace card this past weekend and feel so much better about it.

If you have not already seen this movie you really should, it is very beautiful and an amazing eye opener.

The best part of this weekend was our beautiful Daughter Ella was Dedicated on Sunday. It was a very Beautiful ceremony and in the same day my brother was also Baptised that same day which made things feel so amazing and now Ella and My brother (Ellas Godfather) share a very special day and both opened up new chapters in there life and in mine and my husband.

Not only is a Child dedication for the child but it is a HUGE deal for the parents as well.

we are dedicating our child to God but we are also Committing our lives to raising our daughter in the way of the Lord. As we raise our child we will also be growing in our faith and growing stronger together. I Love this new chapter and plan on living it to the fullest.

All you need is....
